Here at Ballet Rising, we’re big fans of Daniel Robert Silva, the artistically bold dancer for the Dutch National Ballet. In 2019 we traveled with Daniel to his hometown of Uberlândia, Brazil, to learn the story of how Daniel got interested in ballet, what inspired him as a child, and how he overcame early challenges to achieve success today. While we were capturing footage for our upcoming film about his life, we recorded an interview with Daniel about his love for ballet, his background, and his thoughts on returning to his home country.
