I started out in life as a dancer, trained at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and in Russia. During twenty-five years as a professional dancer I progressed from the corps de ballet to become a successful principal artist, performing on stages throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Subsequent to my dancing career I was appointed Artistic Director of two major international ballet companies English National Ballet and the Royal New Zealand Ballet. I am now a teacher, performance coach and artistic consultant.
Over fifty years of working in the performing arts, twenty-five of them as a coach and leader, I have helped some of the most ambitious high performers on the planet discover what they need to do to claim their space in life and on stage, achieve success and, most importantly, find what is stopping them from maximising their potential.
I am using that experience to help professionals from all walks of life to build courage and confidence, find clarity of direction to what’s next in their life and business, deal with transition and change and perform at a higher level. People I work with typically go from feeling overwhelmed (for any variety of reasons) to becoming confident, motivated and able to get to where they want to be.” – Matz Skoog
