Claire Bayliss Nagar Born in Birmingham, UK. Studied and graduated from The Royal Ballet School, London. Danced in London’s Ballet Imperial, National Ballet of Portugal in Lisbon, Michael Clarke’s first company in London and later a freelance artist. 4 years in Italy including Balleto di Roma, Teatro Koros, Balleto del Sole and the Arena Di Verona. 7 years in Ballets De Monte Carlo as demi soloist working with Jean -Yves Esquerre, Jean Christophe Maillot, Forsythe, Neumier, Roland Petit, Karole Armitage, John Allayne, Jiri Kylian, Renato Zanella, Nacho Duato and performing many Balanchine ballets and historical Ballet Russe repertoire. 2 years as principal dancer in The Israel Ballet performing a wide range of repertoire including more Balanchine, classical repertoire and creations. Worked at The Batsheva Ensemble for 13 years as rehearsal director, ballet teacher and later Company Manager alongside renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin. Returned to The Israel Ballet as Company Manager, teacher and ballet mistress in 2013 and in 2018 was promoted to Artistic Director of The Israel Ballet and The Israel Ballet school.
